Raised with the Florida Keys as my backyard, I spent every weekend—and every spare moment I wasn’t in school or working—out on the water. From living amidst and exploring the shallow estuaries of the Everglades to running 100+ miles offshore of Key West past our camp on the deserted isle of Fort Jefferson, surveying these surrounding waters has shaped not only my childhood, but the fisherman and guide I would eventually become today.

 

Professionally, my career as a Fishing Guide began at Hawk’s Cay Marina & Resort in 2020, there I ran the I’m Hooked fishing charter under the guidance and tutelage of Capt. Jeff Malone who runs Tarpon Time. I was averaging around 250 trips per year out of Duck Key. The opportunity allowed me to cultivate me a deep, day-to-day understanding of fish behavior, tides, seasons, but most importantly, how to create unforgettable experiences for anglers of all skill levels.

 

Today my dream, as the owner and captain of Sunup Sundown Sportfishing, is to bring together thousands of days of local knowledge, my own technical experience, and my lifelong passion for shallow-water sportfishing; to provide you with an unforgettable trip. Whether we are chasing tarpon chaos as the sun rises or sets, poling tranquil flats for bonefish and permit, or exploring the quiet backcountry and observing this incredible ecosystem, my goal is simple: to share the waters that raised me and deliver an adventure you’ll never forget.
